We went out to Darrell's Station today. We were suppose to go out on the boat today, but when we were dropping Hayden off at the daycare, they called Darrell and said that the buoy was reading 20 foot waves only 6 seconds apart and wind gust at 30 knots, which is not weather that you want to take civilians out in and after I say the waves in the bay, I wasn't going to argue. I was a little dissappointed but that's ok, there's always the next time. So we took a couple of pictures just before it's crew got underway and took some more of them out in the surf. The suits that they are wearing consist of three layers. The first layer is kinda like long johns that you wear in the winter time, the second layer is like a fleece zip up pair of coveralls, and then the third layer is their dry suit. Darrell says that if for some reason they were to fall overboard or the boat was to roll over, which it is designed to do, the only part of their bodies that would be exposed to the elements of the water is only any of their skin that is showing. This is the boat that Darrell is trained to drive. He is also trained for the worst type of weather.
