38 wks
38 wks... the count down is coming close to an end. I had an OB appointment this morning. Still measuring right on track and she had a good heartbeat. Dialated to 3cm already. Woo Hoo. Induction is still scheduled for April the 4th. Not too much longer until we meet our sweet new baby.
Now we are headed to the beach. We wanted to take one last trip with Emilee before her poor little world is turned upside down and she will no longer be the center of attention. Poor Baby. We feel like we are moving her out and moving Maecee in. Every time I bring something into the house she says "Maecee's" and I have to tell her that "No baby, it's for you". Makes me feel so BAD! Hopefully she won't feel left out. I'll try my best to not make her feel that way. =(

Dr. Appt
Emilee had two doctor appointments at TCH today. First was the ENT, which is a followup for her tubes and she also gets a hearing test each time we go. Her hearing test was good and her ears looked clear. She has lost the tube from her right side but still has the left one. So we'll see him again in 6 months to check them again.
Looking out the window from the 20th floor. We went straight from that appointment to the Plastic Surgeon that repaired her palate. It's about three blocks again so we took a little walk. We were kinda rushed because the ENT appt took a little longer than planned, but with a swift walk we made it in time. This appointment never takes very long, basically they just look at the repair and ask us if we have any concerns. They did ask how she was eating. She does have three small holes again in her palate but at this point there's nothing that they would really do unless it has a major effect on her speech. At that point there are a couple of options but we'll wait until that is needed before I stress over it. =)
We had some time to kill in between Emilee's appointments and Chance's appointment so we went to lunch and then headed over to Hermann Park to ride the train.
We still had a little time to kill so we hung out at the fountain where there are tons of ducks and other birds for Emilee to watch. They would come right up to the edge and make noise right in front of her. It was pretty neat. It's obvious that they are use to people and probably get fed a lot.
Her next appointment is with the Genetics doc and that next month. After Maecee arrives. =)

Bubbles!
I'll just let these pictures speak mostly for themselves. =) You'll see why.
She was so proud of herself
Then she was amazed at the bubbles
This dog "bubble chomper" came with the bubbles that she got from Heather. You squeeze his belly which opens his mouth and she can try and "chomp" the bubbles. Then he says "Those are bubblicious"
Really... How could I not post these as soon as I saw them. Thank you Heather for the entertainment on Friday afternoon and then the laughs just now when I finally looked at them. =) They are GREAT.
I should be in bed already as we have a long day of doctor appointments tomorrow in the Medical Center. Four for Emilee and one for Chance.
She's going to be a big helper
Since we've put the base to the infant carseat in my car already, I brought the carseat in the house to put the straps lower and get it washed and cleaned. Emilee has taken up playing with it and putting her baby dolls in it. When I ask her if she's going to help when we have to put Maecee in it she says "Sure". Too cute. She buckled the baby in, gave it kisses, covered it with the canopy and then said "Go to sleep". She did try to carry it, but it was too bulky for her to go far. We hope Maecee makes to her first birthday. =)

37 wks!
37 wks! We made it to 'term'. I had a regular ob appointment today and everthing is still going well and on track. Miss Maecee will be here no later than April 4th. My induction is scheduled! YAY! Can't wait to meet her. We are still getting things ready for her arrival around the house. We got the carseat in my tahoe. I still need to pack our bags for the hospital (I know I need to do this) and get Emilee a bag packed too. She will be staying with Aunt Barbara the night before the induction or if we have to head to the hospital before then. No point in trying to entertain her at the hospital for who knows how long. Things are coming together... slowly but surely. Nothing like waiting until almost the last minute, although it could turn into the last minute at anytime. =)
Froggie
Chance has made the leap into the world of smart phones. Thank goodness that they make the Gz'One version (this would be the indestruble one). The sales rep told me that he could take in underwater and video with it if he wanted to. I'm sure he will try at some point. At least if it's raining on a fire scene he can still take a picture if he wants to. =) He sent me this picture this morning while I was at work. This is Granny's pet frog that has slept in her 'outside' shoes every night for the last week. This is when I'm thankful for camera phones. Since I'm at work I can still see how her day is going.

Shower
Since I'm way too big to be leaning over the bath tub (37 wks tomorrow, YAY!), we have showed Emilee that she can take a shower. We bought a shower head with a hose and plan to mount a holder low enough that she can take her own shower (with help of course). She had fun playing with the water tonight. I gave her a good wash down then closed the (clear) shower curtain and told her to wash all the soap off. She did a good job all while having fun. When it was time to be done I would say "Are you done?" and get "Not Yet!" as the response. This will come in handy this summer when she comes in from playing outside all day especially in the sand pile. =)
Of course as you can see I'm glad that I choose the waterproof camera for tonight's pictures because every time that I would pull the curtain back just enough to take a picture, the little turkey would try and spray the camera. She did get it a couple of times.
Although this makes me sad that she's getting so big. Where has the time gone when she was just my little baby. =)

Matching outfits
Their first sets of matching outfits! Thank you Robin and Lynette!!! I'm excited for them to wear them. They are going to be so cute, now I just have to wait for Maecee to get here.

Ultrasound!
We had a routine prenatal visit and our second ultrasound today. Maecee is measuring right on target. Heart beat in the 130's. Just causing me to expand daily.
We asked the ultrasound tech to see if she could get a good profile picture this time since she wasn't cooperating last time.
After our ultrasound we got pedicures and then did our taxes (boo). The pedicures were to relax us before dreaded taxes. =)
