Trick or Treat!

Let's just say it was a trick to get her to co-operate and a treat to watch her have fun once she caught on. =) We went on a hayride and had lots of fun. She had a blast!

This picture was the trick. The little turkey...  She would stand nice and still and as soon as I picked the camera up she would run to the other side of the tree and giggle. So I would go around but as soon as the camera came up....  there she went to the other side of the tree. She thought it was funny... me on the other hand did not only because we were running late and already rushing. =) But it was too cute.

Donut Hair Do

I swear she looks so different with all of her hair pulled back. Every once in a while on the weekends we get donuts for breakfast, mainly when I'm lazy and really wanting a sonic dr. pepper! But before she gets the sugar covered dough, her hair has to go up.

Then she decided to load up her animals and head to Granny's house.

10.20

I thought that she would like to ride this car all the time. I was way wrong. She hardly every wants to ride in it by herself. She usually wants us to push the 'adult' button.

Or she uses the 'adult' button

Helicopter in the pasture.

The things they get to do while I'm at work. There was a company working in the pasture beside ours that was using a helicopter to drop some kind of seismographic things in the forest by our house. (I really have no idea what they were doing) Chance, Emilee and Granny ventured over on a windy day when the pilot wasn't flying to get a better look and he told them to come on over.

Ha

What else is there to say...  I stayed in the car and Emilee insisted on going into walmart with her Daddy to get corn. This is what I saw when they came out.

Galveston (day two)

Headed to the car with our luggage. She insisted on carrying/pulling her own.

Before we left we walked across the street to feed our moldy bread to the birds

We also stopped by the air museum. It was really limited because most of the planes are still in service and they were at the air show in Houston this weekend.  Emilee wasn't real impressed because wer weren't allowed to touch anything.

She mainly enjoyed playing with the chains

We had a good time even if she did throw up twice in the car on the way home. At least we had beach towels and extra clothes.

ALL of the picture from the weekend are in my online album that you can see by clicking on the link below (the picture). Emjoy!

Galveston (day one/afternoon)

After nap time we headed to the beach for a little fun in the sun.

The last time we were at the beach in Matagorda, she had NO fear of the water or the waves...  this trip... she was back to not wanting anything to do with the water. It was so weird. So she played in the sand.

If we went into the water, she would yell for us to come back. She didn't mind if we went and got water for her to play with but she wasn't about to go out there. We did carry her out there and set her down, but she promptly made her way back to dry ground.

On the way back to the room we stopped by the pool. It was kind of nice because it was in the shade, we didn't have to add any sun screen.

It was a little chilly

She was so proud of herself for standing without holding our hands. She started jumping and was having a blast until her her upper body got ahead of her feet and she went under.

For dinner we headed to the Rainforrest Cafe. They have these huge gorillas on the way that move and grunt every so often.... she was not a fan. She would climb into the closest lap available.

She watched those gorilla throughout dinner even when they weren't moving. Needless to say it was a short dinner. As soon as we were done eating, we left.

We tried to distract her from the gorillas with a balloon frog. It only worked when they weren't moving.

Galveston (Day one/morning)

We headed to Galveston for one last trip to the beach before it gets cold (or before it's suppose to get cold considering this is Texas)

Of course she would be up early enough to see the sun come up.

Quick trip to the beach before heading to Moody Gardens

They had a neat butterfly exhibit. We thought it was cool how the butterflies would land on you...

...  Emilee on the other hand DID NOT think it was cool. She screamed!

The Monkey was her favorite thing. She watched it for a long time. (it's in the bottom left corner)

Love the expression on her face. She could still see the monkey from below.

So of course it ends by making you walk through the gift shop (whoever thought of this is pretty smart). She left with a monkey. Imagine that.

Naptime with the monkey, it looks like she thought we might take it away...

This is the online album for the entire weekend. There are lots of pictures, but I just posted a few. Click on the small picture below to be taken to the album.
