Gymnastics {round 2}

Another Thursday night of gymnastics. I tried to get a few more pictures this time. While she was jumping on the trampoline I downloaded an app that would hopefully help. Although most of them are blurry there are a few clear ones, but at least you can tell what she is doing. The trampoline is the easiest thing for me to take pictures of because I just get to sit on the side. Most of the other things I am involved in helping her.

Tonight on our way to class we talked about how she needed to let her teacher help her this time. SO...  SHE DID! I was so proud of her. Every time she would get to the station that she needed help on she would say "Miss Angela, Will you  help me?"...  It was awesome. She even told me multiple time "Mama - Um, you go over there, Miss Angela can help me." I gladly let her. =) She did great!

Water Baby

This child!  Last weekend she would barely get into Lake Livingston... the last few days she's has been so much more carefree with the water. (It's kinda scary). Last summer we never really let her put her head underwater because of her tubes. So back in February when she had an appointment with the ENT we asked about this summer and he said she can do anything and everything like normal and not to worry about ear plugs or anything. So we were tossing her back and forth in the pool on Monday afternoon to see what she would do and of course she loved it... as long as we caught her before her head went under. We let enough water out of the pool so that she could stand with the water level up to the bottom of her chin so she could play without us having to hold her the whole time. We are still working on teaching her to hold her breath so she still gets a lot of water in her mouth but she coughs and spits and wants to go again. AND THEN SHE LEARNED TO JUMP OFF THE LADDER! Now we can't keep her from putting her head under. She's is still learning to hold her breath but she LOVES it. She jumps in over and over again. Then this afternoon after I had already gotten out of the pool, Granny said that she pulled her floaties off and said "I jump".. um.. NO! She has NO fear of the water (at least in Granny's pool), so we keep the ladder OUT of the pool unless we are in it with her.  We got to have some time playing with Emilee in the pool while Maecee took a nap in Granny's house. Granny listened for her on the monitor while she watched us swim.

Happy Memorial Day!

We got back from camping with family and friends just in time to enjoy visiting and bbq-ing with more family and friends. We are blessed to live near so much of our family! Even to have them in the same state is a blessing in itself. I think of all those in the Military who celebrates holidays away from their families because they serve. To all my family and friends that live in other states that serve in multiple military branches, I love you and miss you lots!

Maecee's 1st Camping Trip

For Memorial Weekend, we headed to Double Lakes for some camping with family. This was Maecee's first camping trip. You can tell she looks so excited.

There's a rare moment when she was awake. Most of the time with her was spent feeding her, hanging out int he A/C and her sleeping. Gee...  what would you expect from a 1 1/2 month old. =)

Lake Livingston State Park for some swimming.

Just hanging out around the camp site

The 4 Montgomery Kiddos

Even though it was HOT (duh... Summer in Texas) we had a blast. A lot of the things to do here were closed due to the number of dead trees but we still had a good time.

Squishy

I shall call him Squishy, and he shall be mine. And he shall be my Squishy. -Dory

This is what I think of when I cuddle with Maecee and kiss her chubby little cheeks. =) She's my little squishy. She has recently started "talking" to us or I guess cooing. She is starting to smile throughout they day. Since I'm back at work, I miss a lot of this during the day but Daddy and Granny are sending me pictures while I'm at work which I'm very thankful for because I miss the girls a lot.

Maecee is steadily gaining weight (a good thing). As you can see she has lots of rolls. =) We weighed her yesterday.... she is seven weeks old and weighs 11lbs, 9oz. HOLY COW you say... I know! She goes back to the doctor the first week of June for her two month well check and first round of vaccinations. I'll try not to cry. =) Other than being extremely exhausted and can't put my head on my desk at all without falling asleep I'm hanging in there with the pumping so that Maecee can have breast milk as long as I can feed her. I'm learning to make time at work to provide for her and so far I'm just about breaking even with the amount that she's eating during the day. She's eating four ounces about every three hours. I think that I've learned that she is going to be an evening snacker. If seems like she is hungry every hour from the time I get home to the time she goes to bed. Speaking of bedtime.... She's doing GREAT. She averaging five or six hours of sleep now (hopefully I didn't just jinx myself by saying that)!

Future Trouble

Sisters!

Emilee insisted on Maecee laying in bed with her while I read to her before bedtime. As you can tell a hungry Maecee wasn't not pleased about this decision. I read the shortest book that I could find very quickly. Then Emilee wanted to read to me. We sang Twinkle Twinkle and then off to bed.

Her hair cracked me up when I took the braid out of it.

Emilee is SO excited about going camping this weekend. It's all she has been talking about for the entire week. I hope that she has lots of fun.

Gymnastics

Well... I survived our first day of gymnastics!  I say that I survived because the age group that Emilee is in is a "parent and me" class, so there has to be at least one parent with them. We had fun though.  The first thing that we got to do was jump.  I would have thought that as much as she was begging to 'jump' the last time we were in CNS that she would have been all for it but NO, it took some serious coaxing to get her out there. Of course once she did there was no stopping her. Although she kept wanting to go over where the big kids were warming up and doing cart-wheels. We managed to stay in our own class.

I love the tongue!

Climbing, hanging (from a bar and rings), jumping, front rolls...  what more could she ask for. =)

One minor problem was that she wouldn't let the teacher help her AT ALL. If the teacher was there she would shy away and wouldn't go anywhere near her. I actually felt bad for her. She would help all the other little girls and then when it was Emilee's turn she would move away and I would have to help her. We talked about it on the way home about how she had to let the teacher help her because the next class up doesn't allow the parent with them. We are going to have to work on her front rolls because for some reason instead of rolling over she lays down on her belly and army crawls forward.

All in all we had fun. I was sweating at the end of the class. I knew the parents of two of the other two little girls and I am very proud to say that Emilee was very well behaved compared to the other little ones. She is a little on the older end of the age group but she did very well and listened pretty well too. I was proud of her.

She looks SO big...

Where did my baby go? Sometimes she just looks SO big.

Her hair was up and out of her face because Daddy brought Shipleys home for breakfast.
