Half Way Mark

I'm half way there... even though the easy half is over. =) I'm 20 weeks. YAY!! Everything is going well. I'm finally getting to where I can feel her move around during the day. AND of course I'm getting a belly. YES... It's there. You can't tell during the day when I'm wearing my scrubs but on the weekends you can. =) I don't have any new pictures to post... sorry.

I Hope She Likes Pink

Of course everything seems to be just 'oh so cute'. I have already spent too much money on girly clothes and stuff. But I had to at least buy her the first pink outfit after we found out. Mom and I went to eat with Chance's family at Babins on Thursday night and stopped at Target on the way home. Here's her first Pink "stuff"... I LOVE these little outfits... All colors, I think they are just so cute. When I was buying for Jillian, I got her so many of these.

Ultrasound Pics

Here are a few ultrasound picture from wednesday. As far as I know everything went well. At least according to the US report that we got in the office on Thursday, everything was good.

It's A...

We had our ultrasound this afternoon and the baby was cooperative and we got to find out that we are having a girl! To me everything looked good on the screen, but I'll make sure when I get to the office in the morning. The advantage of working for my Doc... the report will probably be on the fax machine in the morning and if not will come sometime tomorrow. =) I had my camera out to video the screen while she was doing the ultrasound, but forgot to actually push the button, so after about three minutes the camera shut it's self off... so I only got a short video. It's not the greatest, but I'll try and upload it tomorrow.

Playing outside

Since the weekend weather was so pretty... Jersey had lots of fun. She had spent the morning in the house napping while I did some work on the computer and paid some bills, that when she woke up I knew she would want to play, so we went outside. While I sat in the flower bed pulling weeds, she played in the grass. And for some reason, she loves to chew on sticks. I guess it's better that she is chewing on sticks and not anything in the house. Here's a few pictures from Sunday.

In the picture below, it looks like she is smiling.

In this last one, I swear she was smiling... I'm not sure what she was doing, but it turned out cute.

Not much longer... (hopefully)

Only a couple of more days until we get to go for the ultrasound. Hopefully the baby will be cooperative. Unlike last Friday!!! We talked Dr. Nichols into taking a peak before we left for the weekend, so here we ALL are in the room... I think there was a total of 6 of us, trying to all figure out what we all see. Me - I can't tell what we are looking at unless it's the head or hands or feet, but we were all looking. We weren't sucessful due to the baby's butt being too low. Dr. Nichols couldn't get a good look, but said that if it were the other way around and the butt was higher maybe he would have been able to get a decent butt shot. We did see a really good foot shot, it was cool. So we shall see on wednesday afternoon.

I have my regular OB appointment at 11:00 and the the ultrasound is scheduled for 2:00 that afternoon. I still haven't felt the baby move yet. At least if I have I don't know it yet. But I'm looking forward to actually knowing that it's the baby move and not just thinking "what was that, was it the baby?"

So until then.... be sure to check back in on Wednesday evening! It will probably take me that long to actually get a post up, but I'll try my best to do one as soon as we get home. =)

Gone Fishin'

After a full day of training at Station 31, Chance and a fellow B-Shifter went our for a little boat ride on Lake Conroe and came up with a fishy fish! I'm jealous, because I would love to go fishing.

Cherish each day

This was sent to me in an e-mail. I liked it alot.

YOUR BANK ACCOUNT
This is AWESOME....something we should all remember.

A 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o'clock, with his hair fashionably combed and shaved perfectly, even though he is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today.

His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready. As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on his window.

'I love it,' he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy.'Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait.''That doesn't have anything to do with it,' he replied...' Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged ..it's how I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it 'It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficultyI have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do. Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open, I'll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I've stored away. Just for this time in my life.

Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in. So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of memories! Thank you for your part in filling my Memory bank. I am still depositing.' Remember the five simple rules to be happy:1. Free your heart from hatred. 2. Free your mind from worries. 3. Live simply4. Give more. 5. Expect less.

Only one more week until we hopefully get to find out if it's a boy or a girl! Things are going well, no complaints that I can think of. We have an appointment next Wednesday, Feb 11th for the ultrasound. =) So check back then!!! Let's hope the baby doens't play peek-a-boo.
