Animal Sounds

Emilee doing her animal sounds (kinda)...  She has really learned how to look at the back of my camera to see what I'm looking at, so at the end of the video when she comes toward the camera she is trying to see the back of it.

Little Monkey

I think we have a monkey on our hands!  Kind of appropriate since Aunt Barbara taught her how to do her arms and make a monkey sound. (which by the way is really cute) she decided to climb the couch.

She tought it was so fun. She was laughing so hard that she couldn't get all the way up. I'm not sure what she thought she was going to do once she got up there but she tried over and over and over until her little cheeks were red.

But she was so proud of herself when she finally made it to the switch and saw the light dim (becuase it's a touch switch) or saw the fan come on. (I helped a little and let her stand on my hands for this last one)

Ducks

It was a somewhat pretty day... at least it wasn't raining so we decided to go to Jack-in-the-Box for lunch so that we could let Emilee feed the ducks that like to hang around their parking lot.  At first she was a little scared of them, but it didn't last long. We saved our left over french fries to feed them.

Then Chance remembered that I had a loaf of old bread in my truck, so we headed down to the pier to feed the pretty ones that were hanging out in the water. Of course it didn't take long for the bigger ones to figure out what was going on and join us.

And of course in this next one you can see all the sea gulls in the back ground...  every time I see a lot of them like this I think about 'Finding Nemo'..... mine, mine, mine

The tent

She LOVES this thing. She got it for Christmas and loves it. It came with a little matching sleeping bag and dog pillow too. She goes crazy when she plays in it...  she runs and just dives in and INSISTS on you getting in there with her. She starts saying 'come on, come on' babbling and waving her arms frantically (you can tell exactly what she wants) and if you don't go with her she cries... it's so pitiful. Once you are in the tent with her she gets CRAZY.  She jumps around and falls down and it's dangerous. =) But she loves it.

Not sure what's was going on with my camera but they are still cute.

Jersey also likes to play in the tent... and her nose was in the way for this one.

Getting dressed...

HA!!! She loves to be without clothes. If I'm not holding onto her pretty tightly when trying to change her clothes I usually have to chase her down to get her dressed because she loves to run around in her daiper, but it's too cold for that. When she finds her jean laying around, she tries to put them on herself and if you dare offer help she takes off running. I'm looking forward to warmer weather so she can be free of clothing (at least when we are home).

This cracks us up...  she grabs her own foot and tries to put it in the jeans... too funny.

Granny's Bday

We went out to eat dinner for Granny's birthday. Chinese food.. not my favorite (don't even like it) but I still went. They had pizza. =)  But they also had a big fish pond thing...  the kids loved it.

She also had the idea that if she stood up on the high chair that she could see over the glass and wave a Lilah who was sitting at the other end of the table. I thought it was pretty smart.

The kitchen

We had a fun afternoon of playing.  It was cold outside so we spent most of the day inside. Emilee even used her big girl potty. Not that we are trying to potty train her at all, but she lets us know when she wants a new diaper. She was patting her diaper so I put her on the potty..  and she potty'd. =) It was so cute.

Emilee loves to play with the kitchen. Alot of the time she makes us sit in the play room with her while she plays and tonight was no different. We were watching her play and all of a sudden she got SO EXCITED.  She had three bowls and a cup and she had lined them all up on the edge. When she finally got it she started to cheer and clap for herself. It was awesome.

Squeeze

These pictures make me want to just squeeze her. =) We had a warmer day yesterday so Emilee got to play outside all afternoon. It's cold again today so I'm sure we'll be inside most of the day. We take advantage of the warmer days. (I'm sure I'll be complaining about how hot it is this summer.. sorry)

For the last couple of days I have been trying to get a picture of her saying "oooo", her little mouth is just "o" so cute.

She got so excited when she saw Granny and Aunt Barbara pulling in the driveway.

Emilee is still coughing, mostly at night, she hasn't had anymore fever and her runny nose is SO much better. We are doing breathing treatments now so if her cough doesn't get any better it's off to the Dr. we go. =(

Redo..

I have decided that if the last four days are anything as to how this year is going to be then I request a 'redo'. Emilee has been sick since 1:30 AM of the new year. Finally slept through the night again last night after coughing for an hour while trying to go to sleep. Poor baby! I finally got her up for a drink of water to try and help a little, I think that she thought I was crazy for bringing her sippy cup into her room..  she just looked at me but eventually drank some. She did cough and gag and spit some up, so we had to get a new blanket and some medicine, but she finally fell asleep.  I feel so bad for her. Then to top it off I woke up this morning with it. Nice! She seems to be ok during the day, still playing and being her silly self it's just made for a rough couple of nights. I guess I am really spoiled because I have a great sleeper. Hopefully she's on the mend.

Hopefully once we get over this we'll be on our way to a great new year.
