Trouble

I was changing the A/C filters.  I got down for just a second and Emilee decided she was going to help.

Look at Me Mommy! So Proud

Through the window

I just love my time with her.  She's just so much fun and is just so silly. When the dog(s) start barking because they see someone/something outside... Emilee immediately goes to see what it is.

She spots someone

Oh...  YAY! I know her

Her nose just cracked me up

She is getting good at "giving sugar"...  sometimes she does it really rough (just like everything else) but it's still cute

Sand box

She is completely covered in sand! She went straight from this to the bath tub last night. I think that I could say this was probably the dirtest she has ever been. Sand everywhere...  her hair, ears, eye lids, face, arms, legs, feet, toes...  everywhere.  (I was so glad that I put her in white shorts...  HA!) It actually hard to see the sand, but I promise it's there.  I didn't have my camera (I know... gasp) so we used Laura's cell phone.

Lazy Sunday

Emilee loves to drag her books out. But as you can see it's not just one book.  It's most of them and sometimes all of them at the same time. I'm working on finding a different place to keep them because I don't like her playing that close to the fireplace... so we'll see.

She loves to "play" with the dogs.  At least she thinks that's what is going on. She holds their ball and they try to take it from her causes her to laugh really hard. It's funny.

This is the face I get with the "mmmmmmmmm" sound.

Taking Steps

Yesterday Emilee took FOUR steps over at Granny's house.  She had taken 2 tiny little half steps back before her surgery, but we think that since getting her tubes put in her ears that maybe her equilibrium has been different.  Right after her surgery she wasn't really just standing up without holding on.. but now she's working on it again.

She can blow spit bubbles. I don't know that she knows she's doing it but she does it quite frequently

I think I have a little climber on my hands.  She made it all the way up the slide without any help. She can go all the way up the steps on this little play house and all the way to the second floor in our house.

I'm so glad that she's back to using her sippy cup.  She drinks REALLY well from it and can drain the whole cup (about 7 ounces) in one sitting if she wants to.

Ever since her surgery she has because REALLY attached to her blanket.  I'm ok with it, but sometimes it's amusing what she wants us to do with the blanket(s).

Swimming

So... I have a waterproof digital camera.  I decided to try it out in the pool.  It was a lot of fun and the kiddos wanted me to take pictures of them the entire time that we were in the pool (a hour and a half)...  it was funny... they wanted pictures of everything.  The hardest part about it was actually getting them in the frame of the picture.  I would just stick the camera under the water and push the button hoping that they were in the picture.  I tried one time to go under and take it but I could see anything clearly enough... so I went with the 'hit and miss' method.

Taylor was REALLY good at it. I was NOT and therefore I am NOT posting any of those pictures. =)

Tucker was good at it too and so funny

Granny Katie with half of her grandkids

Not sure who or what this was but it looked cool

We spent so much time in there that Emilee feet and fingers were pruney (not a word) =)

YAY for Today

Today is two weeks post op for Emilee.  Today she can have whatever she wants to eat and can also have her sippy cup back. YAY!  Although before last Saturday we were thinking today would never come, but it's has been a lot better since she started drinking from the syringes.  She's has done great this week and is back to being herself and getting into everything.  We are letting her play outside again too since she is drinking so much again. She does still seem to be a little more picky about what she eats but I think that's because she was getting whatever she wanted whenever she wanted for the last two weeks because we were desperate for her to take anything. So we'll be working on that. Other than that. No more socks on her hands for naps and at night.  She just gets to roll around freely and snooze away. She even did well last night with the power being out.  It went out about 30 minutes before her bedtime, but I still put her down hoping it would come back on before it got too hot to sleep.  It came back on at about 1:30 this morning.

She watched it rain yesterday evening. At one point I think that she even looked up towards the sky trying to figure out where it was coming from.

Giving the window "sugars"

Just for everyone to see her little temper.  She was crawling SO fast towards the baby gate that was left open and I beat her to it and shut it and she did this.  She is already throwing little temper tantrums and she either throws her head back and crys or if she is crawling, she puts her forhead down on the floor. It's SO not cute.

11 Months Old!

My Baby Girl is 11 months old today... one month shy of a year.  That's just crazy!  I can't believe it's gone by so fast. Her surgery is behind us and so much to look forward to.

As far as her post op days...  she drank about 20 ounces (or a little more) today and actaully ate something at each meal.  She had an egg and a few peachs for breakfast, shared some spam with Granny and Uncle Matt at lunch and then for dinner had some country style ribs, potatos, carrots and a few beans.  Such an improvement each day.  She is back to smiling all the time and laughing at us being silly and playing without us having to be on the floor with her. She's back to being my Happy Baby!  She also slept through the night again last night (first time since we came home from her surgery).

After her surgery...  her little mouth swelled up SO badly that you couldn't even see her teeth anymore... but after she got the steroids and the swelling went down, she then had SIX teeth.  That one middle front tooth that was being so hard headed is now through. Yay!

She played a lot today.  Outside and Inside!

She has been sticking her tonge out a lot the last couple of days.

I'm so thankful for my baby... she's my world =)
