Chrismas Morning

We had lots of fun on Christmas morning. Emilee decided to sleep until about 7:15.  Once she was up we started opening presents. (Once her eyes open she is going 90 mph. The child has no "wake up time") She opened about half of her presents before she got bored but of course she wanted everything out of the packaging as soon as possible. She played and played. Then after a nap and lunch she decided that she was ready for the other half of her presents.  She racked up on new toys. But we had a good day!

Her couch has a built in sleep bag. Every time she sits on it she puts her feet inside the sleeping bag and puts her finger to her lips for the "shh". When she first layed on it we were playing with her to go "night, night", so that what she thinks it's for.

We had a Merry Christmas, I hope everyone else had a wonderful holiday also.

Cheese Dip

This was last night while the grill was going, she noticed that she could see the flames through the side. She kept squating and watching them.

She was also started "cheese-n" for the camera.

She loves to wear hats. She saw her hats hanging and wanted to wear it. Surprising she left it on for a long time.

She even wore her Santa hat a lot during the afternoon.

Santa's

Tuesday night we headed to Bryan for Santa's Wonderland. I knew that she wasn't going to sit with Santa so we just did the drive thru part. She would look a little and then climb from one side of the truck to the other. But the lights didn't really hold her attention. Maybe next year. There aren't many pictures because they would have all been of the back of her head.

She was out about 5 miles down the road.

Then on Thursday night we headed to Willis for North Montgomery's Kids Christmas party.

But I wanted a picture with Santa... no matter what the reaction was. =) I know... I'm mean.

Wrapping Presents

For some reason wrapping Christmas presents seemed to take forever... I wonder why...  possibly because my surface (aka - the table) kept being invaded.

But she was such a big helper when it came to the tape. She wanted to put it on the paper just like me. Good thing someone little is getting the present and won't even notice. =)

Once I wrapped the presents she would carry them to Granny's tree. Such a big helper.

The Things We Do

It's cute to watch her imitate. She tries to do the things that we do. She sees me carry my purse which she has been trying to carry my purse around but it tends to be a little to heavy... so I got her one. =)  I know, I know... dresses and purses some of you who KNOW me are probably thinking I  have lost my mind. BUT I made sure that she had a match box car in the purse. =) NOW, those who KNOW me will SMILE at that.

Granny Katie and I have been reading a series of books that currently have 18 different books. Needless to say we have been reading all the time lately and she notices. =) She climbed up in Granny's chair and proceeded to get her glasses and book. These are Granny's glasses because when I went to the eye doctor on Friday he told me that I had vision that MANY people would envy. =) (Sorry Kris, I love you!)

Of course the phone. When she gets a hold of it she puts it to her ear and tries to say "Hello". Then she insists on holding it to our ears and jabbers.

Piggy Bank

Emilee has discovered her Piggy Bank. For about 2 week now everytime I get her out of her crib she has to pet her piggy. She found some change in an old purse of mine and since she isn't allowed to play with money I decided she could learn how to put it in her bank. It was funny. She would sit down and tuck it in between her legs and concentrate.  If she couldn't get the money in she would change positions or carry it to a different place on in her room, sit down and try again.

Christmas Tree and PJ's

Emilee and I decorated the Christmas tree yesterday evening. She wasn't quite sure about the tree. She knew that the balls were suppose to go on the tree but she didn't understand that she had to hold the little hangers do accomplish this. It was rather cute to watch. She would just place the balls on top of the limbs... Hey..  she knew what they were suppose to do. =)

When I dumped all the red ones out she threw herself down on the floor and started giggling and babbling and kicking her feet, I wish I knew what she was thinking. It was cute.

We put the star on. She really didn't want to touch it, but I managed to get her close.

She was all for climbing on the step ladder. We tried to take a picture in front of the tree but all she wanted was the ladder.

Not sure what I was thinking when I showed her how to turn the lights on and off. That's something she likes to do. As soon as we came downstairs this morning she started pointing towards the switch and babbling.
