Last weekend we made a surprise road trip to Fort Worth to see Chance's dad, Paw. He hadn't seen Emilee since the day she was born and only got to hold her for a very short time before she was taken to the nursery where she had to stay. We dressed Emilee up in her Kasey Kahne outfit (Doug's favorite driver) and headed north. She did really well in the truck for that long. We had to stop about half way for her to eat, but then she went right back to sleep and made it the rest of the way. She slept really well that night while camping out on Paw's floor! I wish that we would have been able to stay longer, but I had to go back to work on Monday.
This is right before we left the house. Since the outfit is red, we found a bow to match and put her in a blue jean skirt so she wouldn't be mistaken as a boy.
First Road Trip

Sunday morning we made a trip to Cabela's. She slept most of the time there... just woke up to eat before we left.
