Eat Eat Eat...

Eating is our main excitement for everyday. We had a pretty good day of feedings. She did really well at each one and we didn't have any low ones. We didn't get to find out how much she weighed at the normal time because she was hungry a little early and one of the other nurses was using the scale. Emilee was letting everyone know that she was hungry, so I just went ahead and fed her and her nurse said that she would weigh her before one of the other feedings. Because she was actually full term, her cry is so much louder then all the other babies. That's ok though because we are having positive thinking and are sure that she either stayed close to the same weight or gained. So we'll just wait until tomorrow to find out.

Chance got to run away from the station today and come for the noon feeding, so that was good. He was only able to stay for about an hour and a half, but he got to feed and rock her for a little while.

Aunt Ashley also came by to see us today. When we went into the nursery to peak at her, she was actually waking up for her next feeding so it worked out well and she got to hold her for a little bit before having to leave.

After she ate with Dad, she was ready for a good afternoon nap

I was trying to get a good picture of her up close tonight. She ate really well and took 80 ml's and then was wide awake, so we rocked and then talked some and then rocked some more.

She really likes to hold her head up. I'm beginning to think that it's her way of fighting sleep, but I tried to take a picture of her holding her head off my shoulder.

She was wide awake for at least an hour after she ate tonight. We rocked and rocked and rocked and she finally fell back asleep.

It's hard to get her to go back to sleep after every one of her feedings because at almost three weeks old (tomorrow) she doesn't want to sleep all the time like all of the preimie babies in there. She wants to stay awake and play. It makes us feel kind of bad, but hopefully she'll be home soon and able to play all she wants.
