we are always early so we went to McDonalds to let Emilee play before her appt
Emilee had her follow up with her ENT today. She sees him every six months until her tubes fall out and then another six months after that to make sure things are healed. She had a hearing test first which she did pass with a little negative pressure on one side. After this hearing test her Daddy learned that maybe he should get his ears checked considering he couldn't hear half the sounds in the sound booth. After her hearing test she had her appt with the doctor. We found out that her tubes are still in and clear which is the good news. The disappointing news is that she had developed a hole in her palate where the repair is. It's a tiny pin size hole, but it's still a hole. For now he suggested that we wait until her speech develops more to see what, if any, problems it will cause. We will find out more about the options when she see her cranial facial team in November. I had noticed some "weaker" places in her palate the last few weeks but didn't see the hole until he looked with the light. At this point it doesn't seem to be affecting her eating or drinking just makes me sad to think about another surgery.... but we'll see.
We could hear sirens and she was looking for the fire trucks.

Sorry to hear about the hole in her palate. That plain stinks.
