Day two has been filled with Arizona. We headed out this morning just east of Tucson headed for Pheonix. From there we took the 17 north into Flagstaff.. Then into the Grand Canyon. I'll post some pictures of that later.

This one is sunrise on day one.
So we are driving through Arizona and kept seeing cacti (that's plural for cactus) and I thought that it would be neat to take a picture with these cacti. Shorty after mentioning to mom about the picture there was a rest stop... so I stopped... and there is ONE cactus there. You would think that since they are EVERYWHERE and of all sizes they would have one at the rest stop, but NO. We were just about to pull out and get back on the freeway when we saw this one, so we turned the wrong way down the exit road for big trucks and dodge a security guy to park so that we could walk to this cactus. They are quite large. This one was a small one compared to most of the other ones, but it was our only option.
Mom guesses it's at least 20 feet tall.
Just a picture from a rest stop
We made it to California... just barely. We are staying in Needles for the night. Barstow is another two hours and we aren't sure if we can make it that long and we don't want to chance it, so we are checkin' in for the night. We are checked into the motel, oddly enough... we are staying in the same room number as last night.
