Pumpkin Carving

This was Emilee's Halloween outfit for the week. I think that she wore it three times the week before Halloween.  We had to get some use out of it before the day had passed.

We waited until the last minute to carve our pumpkin. This is what we did just after lunch ON Halloween. Maybe I just wanted it to be fresh. =)

Uncle Dave helped cut the top off.

I tried to get Emilee to stick her hands inside the pumpkin at least long enough for a picture... but she wasn't having anything to do with that. So I tried to give her a spoon thinking maybe she would scoop some out. Nope. It just wasn't happening.

So I let the other kiddos dig in and they had NO problem with it.

After the initially scooping, Laura and Norbie finished it off with great concentration. =)

Cookies

Last week Emilee got to spend the day making cookies with Aunt Barbara, Renee and Maura.  They said that she had fun and liked the cookie mix.. (who doesn't) =)

Maura was tired of the camera, but Emilee didn't seem to mind

The next afternoon they got to eat the finished products.



Pecans

I know that I posted this pictures only a few days ago, but it's the still of her trying to crack pecans... 

... I also managed to get the blogger to upload a very short video from yesterday afternoon of her trying. She is much more dramactic than this, but it's all I could get.

Laundry Fairy

I was sitting in front of the dryer getting Emilee's clothes out and heard her call "mama" from the living room, I answered "in here baby", she came running to the doorway and smiled.  She saw me getting her things out and walked right over and helped. She did this until the drier was empty. I gave her lots of "Thank you's". I waited for her to fall all the way in but she didn't. I did have to help her by moving the clothes closer to the edge.

I mentioned earlier how she likes to pick the pecans up... well yesterday she had two in her hand and I guess seeing us crack them, she tried...  when she was unsucessful, she brought them to either me or Granny to crack and give her a bite.

She is liking the crunchy leaves. These are in the flowerbed, but she likes to walk through them whenever she sees a pile.
